I have tried alot of garden tools in my day but there are 2 that take the brunt of garden and yard work, are sturdy, and have not broken or dulled:
Fiskars Power Lever two hand held trimmer (easily cuts thick branches with ease) bought that at Lowes several years ago and
Yard Butler hand held cultivator/tiller. 2 different kinds are available. This nifty tool has a handle and a tool on each side mine has a digger and a cultivator excellent for easily removing crab/quack grass, dandelions etc. I got mine at Ace Hardware about the same time I bought the Fiskars.
Both should be available if not ask for them.
