Cloak of the Light by Chuck Black- Well Written!

Do you really know who your enemy is? Drew and Ben became great friends despite the many obstacles they encounter. When an experiment at school fails leaving Drew without sight strange and unexplainable events begin occurring. Evil encounters Drew and manifests itself upon him creating a very dangerous avenue. What will become the price of escape, and can the faith of a girl named Sydney be enough? A perfectly entertaining sci-fi Christian adventure will become one that will grab your attention and keep you reading into the night. Well developed interesting and easy to follow characters, believable scenery and smooth flowing plot will cause you to ask yourself what if. I quickly found this to be a hard to put down book that offers no dull or dragging parts. Well written and recommended. 4 Stars! In Perfect Time by Sarah Sundin- Perfect!

Army flight nurse Kay Jobson works hard to fight off potential suitors. Waiting for a change in her life she sees the ones around her creating their own memories. Enter pilot Lt Roger Cooper, patient and handsome and one that just might hold her interest. Could he be the answer her heart so longs for? A creative and engaging romantic action filled novel held my attention and kept me reading and yearning for more! An easy to become lost in book that doesn't need the first in the series to start connecting with the down to earth believable characters and the smooth flowing engaging plot. This book has no broken or dull parts. I was held captive until the end and found it extremely hard to put down. This author never disappoints. Highly recommended 5 stars! I received a complimentary copy from Revell Publishing for this review for the blog tour.

Here to Stay by Melissa Tagg- Filled Quiet Hours!

Autumn Kingsley, having inherited the Kingsley Inn from her mother, has quite a bit to keep up with. Denying her feelings for Blake was easy until he became so irresistibly cute. The festival needs members and the inn repairs take careful planning and execution. In life can love ignite despite clear obstacles? A cute and easy to fall in love with book. Interesting next door type characters, realistic scenery and engaging plot kept me reading. I do suggest reading the first book in the series as this one did take a little while to catch up and start connecting with the characters and story line. The book has no broken or dragging parts. Would recommend to readers looking for a light and easy going romance. 4 stars! I received a complimentary copy form Bethany House Publishers for my review.

A Table By The Window by Hillary Manton Lodge- Entertaining!

Some secrets long to be hidden. Juliette grew up in a family of great cooks and seemed happy in her writing career. Her brother suggested that they together open a restaurant, meanwhile, she wonders if fulfilling this dream would cost her her current job as a food editor. While cooking and thumbing through one of her grandmothers cookbooks she stumbled upon a very old photograph and the man in it looks just like her brother. Her quest for the truth leads her down an unknown, yet familiar path. She meets a charming physician who happens to live many miles from her. Will she discover who is in the photograph and will things work out for a long distance relationship? A realistically yet romantic read, this cozy novel was fun to read. Interesting down to earth characters, easy to follow dialogue, and smooth flowing plot kept me reading. I enjoyed the email conversations between the characters in the story and look forward to creating a recipe or two or ten from the book. This story does have a cliff hanger ending however which will make the reader want to read the second book to see how things are wrapped up. I was entertained and challenged in my faith and would recommend this book to others. Rachel by Jill Eileen Smith- My Favorite Wives of the Patriarchs Series so far!

In the breath of a moment... love lingers.... Rachel and Leah, sisters, are each vying for the attention of Jacob, who has come in search of a wife. Each sister has her own agenda, her own longings, her own needs and their father and his wives have another. A very creative, tender and touching read, familiar yet at times seeming different and one that comes full circle while portraying the biblical story accurately. I was highly entertained by this fast moving novel. Realistic characters seemed to come alive within the storyline from the beginning and do not lose momentum keeping the reader interested and turning the pages. Accurate picturesque scenery captures the mind promising no dull or dragging parts. I feel this novel can be enjoyed by all readers seeking a historical biblical read. 5 Stars!
